Always dodging the camera, Mary
Matthews is an Orange County, California native transplanted into the snowy
MidWest.
She is an IT professional who uses baking and writing as stress relief
from the demands on on-call, cranky users, office politics, constant learning
curves, and ever leaner departmental budgets.
She was overly fond of her 25-year
old pickup truck, affectionately known as “Bubba” and cried as it was towed off to the junkyard. Her replacement truck earned the nickname of "Fluffie" when the windshield cracked at 14 months old, and while in the garage.
Her growing menagerie consists of 2
cats, 3 Great Pyrenees, 3 "borrowed" kids who helped with the book, and her very patient, saint-of-a-husband lovingly
nicknamed The Big Guy.
